After much debate on what kind of truck I should get, I think I found exactly what I was looking for.

She’s a 2000 Ford F250, with the 7.3l Powerstroke, and a manual transmission.

Here’s the new truck!

Photo from the Craigslist ad.

She’s a Quad cab, which will be really nice. A lot of times I have a few friends when I’m in the truck, so now everyone can have leg room.

This is a 2WD model, not 4WD, but for me that’s not a deal breaker. I needed a truck that could fit 6 people comfortably, have a decent amount of bed space to haul stuff, and be able to pull my car trailer. You don’t need 4WD for that! As an added benefit, I hear maintenance like ball joints and wheel bearings are much easier to replace than on a 4WD truck.

She needs a little bit of work. There’s a little bit of rust I am plan to wire wheel and paint with some rust inhibitor or something. She’s also going to need 2 tires, maybe some sway bar links, and possibly one injector, but overall she really runs good.

Did I mention she has 430k miles?

That’s right! Over four hundred thousand miles! This is definitely the highest mileage vehicle I’ve owned, but the engine seems really healthy, and I think she’ll serve me well for many more miles.
